The photo that inspired this blog
This is the frame that pushed me over the edge and inspired me to start this blog. As a freelance photojournalist, I have little control over what happens to my images after I send them to print. Most of the frames I submit are cropped beyond recognition, and the ones that do make it to the press are seldom my best work. More often than not, the pictures that appear in the paper are merely the rectangles or squares that best fit the holes left in the layout for that days paper, often dwarfed in size by gigantic in-house ads. In the posts on this blog you will find pictures of mine that never made it to print, at least not as I intended them to.
